A fan of Ovadia & Sons from day 1 and their commitment to deliver different garments of clothing by using top-notch fabrics. What I admire most about this brand is the traditional approach of tailored clothing and making it relevant in the fashion world today. Recently, the twin brother designers Ariel and Shimon have released a sneak peak of their A/W 12 lookbook and excited would be an understatement of how I feel. Ariel & Shimon continue to impress many with a selection of classic pieces for the modern man. Just by looking at the few pages that has been released it seems to me that this might be their best collection yet. Looking forward to seeing the complete A/W 12 lookbook!

The SAG Awards has a reputation of being a bit tedious, however the fashion aspect is one of the few exciting parts of the night. This year the stars brought their best ASSets to the carpet, yes Sofia Vergara I’m talking to you! Other favorites include: Lea Michelle, Emma Stone, Amber Heard, Angelina Jolie and more. It's important to mention that there were not many fashion risks this year, however Rose Byrnes surprised many with her Elie Saab jumpsuit! The Metro Man has immense appreciation for womenswear in addition to menswear! See below who made The Metro Man's Best Dressed list.
Amber Heard in Zac Posen
Sofia Vergara in Marchesa
Rose Byrne in Elie Saab
Lea Michele in Versace
Angelina Jolie in Jenny Packham
Kaley Cuoco in Romona Keveza
Zoe Saldana in Givenchy
Emily Blunt in Oscar de la Renta

Miharayasuhiro has added a bit creativity to his latest collection that was debuted this past weekend during Paris Fashion week. His collection was a reflection of the Japanese culture which included the military aspect and the traditional fabrics and silks that Japan is known for. For me, what struck out the most is the different patterned and textured formal slim suits that Mihara has offered us. This proves that the formal suit doesnt have to be a solid black, navy or tan, yet one can have fun with it and add inidviduality to their formal wear. Mihara has included different camouflage patterns using gold thread throughout the garment making it stand out even more. GENIUS!

There's not much I love about this weather, however the one thing I do admire is the opportunity to wear an oversized chunky warm knit sweater. One of my favorite purchases this season was this sweater from Zara. Everything about it is perfect: the fit, the texture, the color and the neckline. I styled this top with !ITEM jeans, comfortable dark denim jeans that were practically tailored to my body. To snag a pair of !ITEM threads check out their site. To top off the look I wore a brown leather bomber with a fur collar from Zara, brown leather combat boots and a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses.

Ah, Mr. Cavalli brings life to the Fall with his latest collection and included every single element that is necessary for an edgy, yet wearable collection. Cavalli includes slim suits that make the male species look dapper than ever, different materials and fabrics were used such as animal prints that are truly unforgettable and other animalistic features such as croc skin and feathers. Also, we were introduced to a collection filled with color by adding the leather moto jackets. This collection is super edgy, luxurious to say the least and more importantly wearable! Bravo Mr. Roberto!

Are you excited to watch the Mid-Season Premiere of Gossip Girl?

The 69th Golden Globes awards aired tonight and the fashion aspect was exciting to say the least. The Metro Man appreciates all sorts of fashion that includes both men and women. Unfortunately, I have one disappointment, well, make that two counting Sarah Michelle Geller's horrific dress, that men continue to stick to the traditional tuxedo and not splash a little color to their outfit, maybe next year. This year there was lots of new trends such as the color nude, mermaid tails, headbands, Zac Posen and, what seems to be a trend that is repeating itself this year, the color red! Just like anything there is the good, the bad and the terribly bad. This list consists of the finest women, including my favorite of the night Charlize Theron, who absolutely rocked it on the red carpet, but than again any one of these women can pull off a shower curtain as a dress.

.....And what I love most about Simon Spurr is his decision on incorporating this idea, leather sleeves on blazers and jackets, in his latest Spring '12 collection. Even though the color choices don't necessarily shout Spring, I am a fan and would wear these jackets with a smile on my face.

If I was forced to choose to wear one collection this Spring it would be, without a doubt, GANT by Michael Bastian. During this presentation, which was shown this past September, the models wore Bastian's latest collection that consisted of plaid blazers (love), turtle-patterned shorts (need), colorful rugby shirts, pale seersucker, yellow denim (want), tank tops and bathing suits. Now you know what The Metro Man will be wearing this Spring. Take a look at the collection below.

Baby, Its cold outside. Fortunately for those who are going away to some place tropical, it won't be for long. Now, I know how stressful it can be to pack a limited amount of clothing for your trip, luckily for you, you have me. For starters, buy yourself a durable duffle bag, one you can rely on, like this Marc Jacobs one. Pack a few bathing suits, only the short-short ones (duh), both solid colored and floral printed. Designers I prefer: Onia, Paul Smith, Vilebrequin and Europann. Tip: pair your floral shorts with a plain solid color v-neck tee, by James Perse or Topman, or a solid linen button down shirt. That way the attention will be on your shorts and more importantly your outfit won't clash. However, you can spice things up with a solid color bathing suit. For example, a 'Free Hugs' tee. WARNING: Cougars may take advantage of you.
.....And for those who are thinking why is there a surfboard lying in the corner? Regretfully, I don't surf, although I wish I did.
